Turner's "Why Don't We Just Dance," the first single from Haywire, broke into the Top Ten this week. It currently sits at #7 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart.
Award-winning Josh Turner debuted his deep, sexy vocals at the Grand Ole Opry in December 2001 and was invited to become a member in 2007. Signing with MCA Nashville Records in 2003, Josh is a native of South Carolina, a husband and father, and lives the emotions he sings about in his songs.
"Growing up, traditional country music was always where my heart was at," he says, "because those songs were speaking about the life that I was living in rural South Carolina. It was all about love and work and life and just the everyday stuff that people go through. It has always made me feel good-- the melodies, the lyrics-- so that's what I'm trying to carry on."
