Andersen Album Release Party Scheduled In Nashville At Billy Block’s Show At The Rutledge
Nashville, TN (March 28, 2011) ---- Australian singer/songwriter, Connie Kis Andersen, is one of the major independent music forces in the land of “down under” and now she is bringing her award-winning talent to the United States. Andersen will be releasing her new self-titled CD May 10 and the first single from the project, Steamy Dreams, is going for adds this week at Americana radio. The single is currently in the Top 5 on the Australian Country Tracks Chart. The project was recorded at Watershed Recording Studio in Nashville, TN ad was produced and mixed by Doug Wayne.
"On all levels, be they political, social or musical, the bond between Australia and the USA has never been stronger,” says Andersen. “For someone like me who considers Nashville my other home, I am so excited to be releasing my new album here and the first single, Steamy Dreams.”
Andersen will kick-off her Nashville events with an album release party on May 10 at Billy Block’s Show at the Rutledge, 410 4th Avenue South, Nashville, TN. The show streams live at www.billyblock.com. Andersen is currently booking tour dates in the U.S. for May – June, which will also include radio station visits and media interviews.
Andersen already keeps a packed touring schedule with performing all over Australia and was recently one of the star performers at the West Australian Country Music Festival. While at the event’s Country Music Awards, Andersen was honored with being named 2011 Best Western Female Artist. Her new CD was recently featured as Album Of The Week on Good Morning Country and Country Music Radio, along with Country Music Capital News doing a feature on Andersen. As Steamy Dreams climbs to the top of the Australian charts, the song was nominated by the Australian Performing Rights Association as a finalist for Song Of The Year. All nominations are the most played tracks across all genres in 2010 and winners will be voted by APRA’s members.
And Andersen will be a “calendar girl” soon! In an effort to help raise funds for her fellow Australians who were recent flood victims, Andersen has agreed to be “Miss November” for a series of calendars from Tamworth Meet n Greet Country, a fan based organization in Australia. All participating artists have donated their images and all proceeds go towards flood relief.
